If we review a drawing and see that opening up a tolerance slightly would allow us to use a standard tool instead of a specialty tool (which may be difficult and expensive to source), we’ll make that recommendation so the engineer can adjust the drawing if desired. 

Similarly, if we know that swapping a costly material for one that is less expensive likely won’t impact the integrity of a part, we’ll always pass that information along so you can make an informed decision about which material to use.
